This topic had me reflecting through the year if I have given more than just money, being there for someone or helping out of a needy situation. With a smile, I felt happy to think that I've done a few even though I know many did more than I did. What matters is that I did made an impact in someone's life sometime this year.
One thing I've always believed about giving, it doesn't have to be done at a specific time or place, giving from the little you have is a sign that you're a giver indeed. Many do wait to have so much before they start giving which in many cases fail to do later.

I guess this is one tradition that happen during the holidays I'm not so in support of, giving because it's holiday! What happened to those times before the holidays? You've been broke or the person didn't matter? Well, we'll have to answer ourselves on that one.
Holiday or no holiday, I would love to give the needful when I get the chance to. There are times when I get the chance to but other factors won't let me but for the closing of this year, I've decided to give the needful where necessary.
I'm not sure how to share it here without it looking like I am boosting of what I can do to help another. I can't even say I'm a giver as I do feel a lot of times that I'm not giving enough but I believe I'll have more opportunities to do so as time goes by and I grow my wealth and responsibilities.
Can I do a good deed for someone else this holiday?
Yes, I can and if there is one thing I'd do to end this year which is already in motion, it is giving to the elderly people I know in my congregation. Thanks to the sisters in my congregation, I got the opportunity to join in giving help to elderly people and in a few days times, I can bet they'll be smiling to what they got from us.
It isn't much but I believe the thought is what should count and that the elderly people would be relieved in some aspects financially.
Supporting for a church plan is in my agenda too and one thing I'm so happy for is the ability to be able to provide what I want to give in that regard. I didn't had to go into debt or even grumble about what I'm giving to do that, I am grateful.
It is one thing to want to give but not have it and so you give your time or efforts and it is another to have money but not know how to give it or use it to help others, I always pray that I learn to give better than I am doing.
Because of that, I never take any chance I get to give waste except on situations where I feel ill grumble about it or feel bad for not giving enough. So there you have it, what I can and plan to do this holiday.
