When it comes to food, I'm not the best at eating and I'm also not the best at creating or preparing recipes but one thing is clear about myself and food, I know how to enjoy them. Don't get me wrong, I love cooking and I do a lot of it but eating it as much as the effort I put into preparing it? Ahhh not so much.
Is it just me or others have this feeling too? Enjoying others meal than yours. Like I said, I'm a Foodie who doesn't eat as much as she wants to even when there is so much food available to be devoured. But somehow, I get to eat a lot more when it isn't my own prepared food or when I eat dad's meals or eat with others... The appetite I get at such a time is a mystery to me.
In the attempts to create delicious memories, I've had food accidents like running stomach from eating a wrong combination or what isn't healthy for me. I've gotten my cooking meals turn dark colours because I forgot to turn off the gas and I've had to settle for whatever is in the kitchen to whip up some weird but delicious meals. In all of that, I can say I've tasted a lot of amazingly delicious meals.
Before now, I wasn't good with many recipes, it was almost as if I ate only five kinds of meal and so I took it upon myself to learn more recipe at least for my stomach and food escapade sake.

Thanks to my decision to try out variety of recipe I come across, I've been exploring new delicious tastes. My recent blogs here on Hive will show some of my recipe adventure. It's actually been more fun than I had thought it'd be, recreating recipes with the hope that I'll be able to eat it 😅
Imagine trying a new recipe, everything went well but you couldn't have more than a bite because it is definitely not your kind of meal.
I had that fear at first but fortunately, I've been enjoying every new recipe I try out. Now, I could make my own pizza with the ingredients I want to be in it. I also eat out sometimes, rarely and it has helped me explore other tastes to improve on mine if there is need.
Enjoying Nigerian jollof rice
Please ignore my bad table manners here. My eating mates didn't let me eat in peace and quietness as expected lol.
This was on my last year's birthday when I decided to go check out a restaurant far away from where I live. I had never visited there before but heard they had really good meals and cool game house so I made sure to check it out for a change on my birthday. It was one of the few times I ate out and I can't forget how exciting it was exploring other tastes. It was a regular meal I do prepare at home but the taste was definitely not like my homemade taste, it wasn't bad too.

I'm one of the many or maybe we are few, who is picky with some ingredients in my food. Like, I don't like seeing large sliced onions or tomatoes or pepper in my meal. I think I'm only picky with that but I've lived with people who were way too picky that I don't see me being picky at all. Maybe you'll tell me in the comment section if I am lol.
I love eating with my family or people close to me, I feel the taste of a meal is influenced by the number of persons eating it to appreciate the efforts put into that born taste.
One of my dreams is to visit different countries and believe me, their meals are my second main reason I want to explore. It's so fascinating to know that there are even wider range of food out there yet to be discovered. What do you think about my food adventure and some of the displayed meals in the post?
This is my entry to the Inleo prompt challenge focusing on "Food, dinning and recipe" and you're invited to participate as well.
