Breathe In, Breathe Out - My Productivity Hack

in Digital Lifestyle23 days ago

I know mine may turn out different from what most people do to be productive but at least, it is what works for me and it's an honour to share it with you here as my response to the digi-prompt. Productivity is one thing a lot of people tend to lose sight of in their daily lives as they feel there is always time.

We may have planned the day so well for good use of time but procrastination, demotivation and even unforeseen circumstances we didn't prepare for turns the day into an unproductive one for us. To minimalize this, I've come to terms with what works for me best.

Did my title say "breathe in, breathe out"? yes! I do that a whole lot through out my day for the main purpose of staying on the productive lane. I know we all breathe as living beings but that moment where you pause whatever you're doing and just take a little more breathe in and out then continue with what you're doing, I do that a lot.

I think it has a lot to do with the fact that I get tired easily no matter how high the motivation or determination I woke up with was. I'm not the hardworking type but I'm not too lazy not to make my days as productive as I can.

Let's be honest, no matter how hard we try, we can't achieve productivity all week without a minute or hour or even a day of delay, procrastination or loss of motivation. It happens but for the times we gain productivity, what works best?

Cleaning up while listening to music and freshening up: It's a routine I've started to do almost unconsciously. While many wake up and say words of affirmation, I find cleaning up my space as I listen to music to be just the right start for my day. I lose focus easily when there is work to do on my space before I get to work so I try to get rid of it first.

Setting priority what needs to be done for the day: Others put this into writing but I make use of my alarm clock for this. I wish I could show a screenshot of alarm notifications I have turned on for each day, it's going to be a too long screenshot lol. Thanks to the repeated reminder, I've achieved a lot and even gotten used to doing some things without the reminder.

I also make use of some apps to track my expenses and savings for financial productivity. As a student back then, I had the ones that kept me active in studying but nowadays, I don't seem to need them. But for whatever thing or action whether new or ongoing that I need to learn, I take it seriously by going over my routine to be productive in it.

It's a simple hack for me to just breathe in and out, set my space and head on with my day for whatever comes with productivity as my aim.

So even the almighty whale can procrastinate like this. Intresting... How which I can say music motivates me. I will just end up dancing till I get tired

Lol what is almighty whale doing in your sentence? Who is that? 😂

Very nice. I only breathe normally all day, lol, but I imagine this exercise to be effective. Did you say a long screenshot for alarms? We better not be neighbours, because we will remove the roof. Alarms are not even my thing.

Lol they are so my thing because I'm mostly alone in my room and I don't use loud ones since I'm a light sleeper.

Hehe. I almost do nothing to make my day productive. I have my brain and it's enough for me and I think it's not necessary to make all the day productive.
