Hello! Welcome to my blog! I hope everyone is having a great day. Today, I want to share some stories from the past few days. I really like the idea of sharing stories by choosing a few pictures from my phone and explaining them. All the pictures I’ve picked are from events that happened this week.
Last Monday, I talked about a clothing contest that required outfits made from recyclable materials. My son, Rex, asked me to help him design something for the contest. My other son, Rez, also wanted to participate, so he asked my mom, his grandma, for help. My mom is a tailor, so it was easy for her to design something. She made Rez a martial arts outfit (silat) out of plastic. At first, Rex didn’t want to join, he never joined any contest like this before, but the day before the contest, he decided he wanted to try, even though there was hardly any time left. So for me, it's challenging. Rex started gathering milk cartons from school on that day (Monday), so I couldn’t resist helping him because he was so enthusiastic. In the end, Rex won the “Best Creative Outfit” category for boy, and Rez also won a top five prize. It was an amazing experience for them, and I hope it boosts their confidence a bit.
This is Rex.

“Best Creative Outfit”
Yesterday, we drove about 100 kilometres in the afternoon to visit my wife’s hometown and see some relatives there. Since we had a few days off, we decided to stay the night. Even though the kids didn’t get enough playtime with their cousins, we had to head back because no one could take care of our plants and animals at home. It was a unique experience for the kids, as they got to see a pig slaughtering process in the evening and then enjoyed a barbecue that night. I had fun too, but I was exhausted and went to bed early, as I had to wake up early for another long drive today. I reached home at around 7 pm, most importantly, we arrived safely.
One thing I loved about my wife’s hometown was the view of the rice fields. Her brother had just finished harvesting, so the green fields weren’t as lush as before, but they still brought me peace. This is a rare sight for me since my own hometown is mostly hilly.
I also visited my wife’s mother’s house, which had many improvements. She planted flowers around her home, making it look even more beautiful. The dog in this picture, named King, hasn’t forgotten me either. He greeted me warmly, even though we only come back to the village two or three times a year. King seemed to be friendlier with me than with the other family members here, maybe because I always spoil the dogs and feed them. Even stray dogs sometimes greet me by wagging their tails because I have a habit of feeding them wherever I go, especially if I have dog food in the car.
So, that's all for today. Thank you so much for your time and your support. Until we meet again next story. Have a nice day and goodbye!
