Hello, there! I'd love to walk you through a day in my life, filled with the simple pleasures of family, pets, and random moments that make every day memorable. From the bustling activity in the kitchen to our pets' unexpected behaviors, every moment of my day tells a story of love, care, and the small joys that enrich our lives. So let's go on this journey together, through a series of photos that capture the essence of my day, which was marked by the warmth of family and the beauty of the ordinary.
My wife, the heart of our kitchen, was already bustling around, her hands efficiently preparing meals not only for the morning but also for the rest of the day. Today, like a helpful companion, I joined her in the kitchen, adding a little to our daily routine of love and nourishment. She cooked two meals: a warm, comforting breakfast to begin the day and a hearty lunch for ourselves and our children at work and school.
Once breakfast was finished, I went outside into the fresh morning air to do my daily chores, which included feeding our pets. To my surprise, a delightful scene unfolded in front of me. Our puppies, who were usually shy and confined to the safety of our parking lot and my truck, were venturing out. They wandered around, chasing their mother, hungry for her milk. The morning was still dark, and despite my best efforts with the camera's fill light function, the photo I took did not fully capture this charming moment.
Thi is the dog's meal, which I prepared the night before. It was a simple but filling combination of cooked white rice and leftovers, including bones and more. Our puppies, who are rapidly growing, have a healthy appetite.
The puppies eating their food with great energy and excitement. It's a joy to watch them develop and thrive.
Then came the task of managing our small dog family. I would carefully place all six puppies behind my truck before moving our car to a safe location. This routine ensures their safety and prevents them from being hit by my wheel while I'm driving.
Our cat family members also got their turn. Our cat, Naru, and her three adorable kittens reflect our busy lifestyle. I also have a routine with them: I give the mother cat her morning milk, then let her out until it's time to bring her back in after work.
My plate was piled high with my favourite fried noodles, and I savoured each and every bite. As a result, I was content with my meal, but I must admit that I was a little sleepy for the rest of the day.
A breathtaking scene at our gate. When the sky was clear, it offered a breathtaking view of Mount Kinabalu, which was some distance away. The clarity that prevailed earlier in the morning was a wonderful gift that made the day feel even more special.
Flower with a vibrant mix of pink, purple, yellow, and green. It served as a striking reminder of the marvels that nature has to offer, and its picture was a fleeting moment of peace.
A touching surprise came my way in the form of a picture sent by a friend. It was a collage of five photos, a throwback to 2016, showing them underwater, holding up a sign that read 'Happy Birthday Remenzer.' Their gesture, captured in this unique setting, warmed my heart.
As lunchtime arrived, I found myself still full from the hearty breakfast, but I enjoyed my meal of white rice, cucumber, chicken, and a red apple. Nutrition is important, even on a full stomach!
The day took an unexpected turn as we headed back, with rain beginning to fall, contradicting the morning's clear skies. It was a gentle reminder of nature's unpredictability.
Arriving home at 2:39 pm, I noticed something unusual – only one puppy was with Lila, nursing. The rest were off exploring, a sign of their growing independence.
I then spent some time in our garden, harvesting bananas. The timing felt right, with most bananas green and a few turning yellow. This simple task, done before taking a much-needed nap, was another piece of my daily life's puzzle.
Today being my birthday, a simple celebration was in order. We went to KFC for a modest family dinner, enjoying the time together over a meal.
My son, Rex, thoughtfully collected all the bones from our dinner to take home for our dog.
A photo of Rex and Rez, my sons, captured their current phase of life. Rex, nine years old and soon to be ten, and Rez, eight, recently celebrated his birthday and looking forward to turning nine at year's end.
Our day concluded with us reaching home around 8 pm. After a brief rest, I dedicated some time to exercise on the treadmill, staying active and mindful of my health.
The day was a rich tapestry of everyday pleasures and routines, woven together by the influence of the unexpected and framed by the affection of family and other animals. Each and every moment, from the everyday to the joyous, played a part in the narrative of my life, which is a narrative that I am thankful to be able to tell. Please accept my gratitude for following me on this journey through my day.
Warm regards. 🙏
