Hey Actifitters,
The weather continued to be very changing yesterday. Rain, then sun, more rain, even both at the same time at some point. But once again, in the afternoon, it really cleared up and became quite sunny.
That's better for Kaia to do her inspection job.
She checked everywhere, including behind the front yard. Or should I call it the jungle. With all that rain, and the heat, it grows like crazy.
I already knew the mosquitoes situation would be bad in the forest but we went anyways.
Kaia got literally attacked and I did too! Can you see all the mosquitoes on her nose? Poor Kaia tried everything she could to scare them away.
That didn't stop her from being on the lookout for critters of course.
But unlike her, I couldn't handle that many mosquitoes. I bought a head net many years ago for a trip to Alaska. I probably should look for it. With long sleeves and long pants, that would leave very little exposed to these bloodsuckers. That would look ridiculous in our forest but who cares? Anyways, this time, I just decided to follow the forest edge, instead of walking the trails.
It's not the same, but it's a little less mosquitoes and we still get some nice forest views.
As often, we turned back at the road construction, after picking up a Cubiverse vault.
We followed again the edge on our way back. Not only can you still see the forest, you also see wildlife.
A couple more loops in the neighborhood were good to add distance and catch a few reflections.
And in the end, a slightly different view of the small forest behind the front yard.
As planned, I still had lots of daylight to go for a run. It was a bit harder than last one, but over 5 miles at a decent pace wasn't bad. Like I mentioned, my training is getting more consistent. I hope to crank it up even more this coming week.
Late at night, I found Le Chat sleeping upstairs. She pretended she was playing, but come on, Le Chat, you're not fooling anyone!
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
