Hey Actifitters,
Yesterday was another hot day, so once again we tried to avoid staying in the heat too long. We just hung out with Le Chat in the yard.
But later in the afternoon, we couldn't miss our long walk of the day with Kaia of course. Not sure what they tried to do behind the front yard, it's like a car or truck just plowed through. Like I already mentioned, the city is quick to complain when I let the lawn get too tall, but they never take care of that small field between my front yard and the small forest.
Anyways, we wanted to get to the forest before nighttime, so we hurried there.
But as soon as we entered, we got swarmed by mosquitoes. Just crazy! They didn't care at all about all the repellent I put on. It was just a feast for them! That was just too much, so we didn't stay in the forest, and just followed its edge.
At least, that opens up nice views on the post sunset sky.
We continued along the forest edge, it's nice that the city added a cycle/pedestrian lane pretty much around the entire forest.
One of the drawbacks is Kaia cannot be off-leash, but when we found a large open field, she finally could run free for a bit!
As we were getting close to home, Kaia caught the scent of deer. In darkness, it took me a while to see them, but they were there just chilling.
And when we made it home, somebody else was waiting for us, of course Le Chat!
After a couple of slow days, finally a good stepping day. I'm still in the @poprzeczka competition and hopefully I can stay until after this week end at least.
