Greetings dear friends of the community! I'm glad to be back to share with all the collectors who daily share their content here. It's been some time since my last post, when I showcased my collection of musical instruments, something I enjoyed very much. Although I don't consider myself a collector, as I look at the topics proposed monthly, I realize that subconsciously I am with some things.
Collecting fridge magnets is a passion I inherited from my mom. It all started with travel souvenirs, they weren't even our trips, but she always asked people who were traveling to bring her some fridge magnets from the country they were visiting. When it was my turn to travel for the first time to Panama City, her most earnest request was that I bring her a magnet, and so I did.

Ha pasado algún tiempo desde mi última publicación, cuando mostré mi colección de instrumentos musicales, algo que disfruté mucho. Aunque no me considero una coleccionista, al ver los temas propuestos mensualmente, me doy cuenta de que inconscientemente sí lo soy con algunas cosas.
Coleccionar imanes para la nevera es una pasión que heredé de mi mamá. Todo comenzó con los recuerdos de viajes, ni siquiera eran nuestros viajes, pero ella siempre pedía a las personas que viajaban que le trajeran algún imán para la nevera del país que visitaban. Cuando me tocó viajar por primera vez a la ciudad de Panamá, su petición más encarecida era que le trajera un imán, y así lo hice.
In 2011 and 2012 we had the opportunity to travel together to both Paris-London and Argentina-Uruguay. I remember both of us looking for small souvenir stores to get the new object that would decorate our fridge; we were very excited about that. And so, every person, friend or family member who traveled, always remembered that a must-have gift was a magnet for our fridge at home. So, everyone has their space.
En 2011 y 2012 tuvimos la oportunidad de viajar juntas tanto a París-Londres como a Argentina-Uruguay. Recuerdo que ambas buscábamos pequeños negocios de suvenires para conseguir el nuevo objeto que decoraría nuestra nevera; eso nos emocionaba mucho. Y así, cada persona, amigo o familiar que viajaba, siempre recordaba que un regalo obligado era un imán para la nevera de nuestra casa. Por lo tanto, todos tienen su espacio.
Another space that decorates the front of my fridge is dedicated to food, and why not? They are supposed to match perfectly with the theme of the fridge. To tell you the truth, I don't know where so many ornaments of different fruits and vegetables came from, but they are so many that they don't fit in the front of the fridge, but also take up one side of the fridge.
Otro espacio que decora el frente de mi nevera está dedicado a los alimentos, y ¿por qué no? Se supone que combinan perfectamente con la temática de la nevera. La verdad, no sé de dónde salieron tantos adornos de diferentes frutas y verduras, pero son tantos que no caben en la parte frontal del refrigerador, sino que también ocupan un costado del mismo.
One thing I can assure you is that it's always Christmas in my fridge. Proof of this are these two small magnets, one in the shape of a Christmas tree and the other in the shape of Santa's boot. At first glance, they might go unnoticed among the amount of decorations because they are small, but I like that they are there; they remind me of a time of the year that I enjoy very much.
Algo que les puedo asegurar es que en mi nevera siempre es Navidad. Prueba de ello son estos dos pequeños imanes, uno en forma de arbolito de Navidad y otro en forma de bota de Santa. A simple vista, podrían pasar desapercibidos entre la cantidad de adornos porque son pequeños, pero me gusta que estén allí; me recuerdan una época del año que disfruto mucho.
Is there room for animals in this collection? Yes, there is. Although they don't go very well with the theme, they are there, sheltering the food inside the fridge. There is also room for a really big flower. This white flower is the largest ornament on my fridge, so it sits off to the side, accompanied by an ear of corn made from foami.
¿Hay espacio para los animales dentro de esta colección? Pues sí. Aunque no combinan muy bien con la temática, están allí, resguardando los alimentos dentro de la nevera. También hay espacio para una flor realmente grande. Esta flor blanca es el adorno más grande de mi nevera, por lo que se encuentra a un costado, acompañada de una mazorca hecha con foami.
And Hive? Yes, Hive is also present on my fridge, not with magnets, but with stickers that have been given to me in several meetups. This area on my fridge is quite new, but I like it because it is colorful and reminds me every time I go to the kitchen: "Hey, stop wasting time and go prepare a post". So, in a way, it's stimulating to have them there.
¿Y Hive? Pues sí, Hive también está presente en mi nevera, no con imanes, sino con stickers que me han regalado en varios meetups. Esta zona en mi nevera es bastante nueva, pero me gusta porque es colorida y me recuerda cada vez que voy a la cocina: “Hey, deja de perder el tiempo y anda a preparar un post”. Así que, de alguna manera, resulta estimulante tenerlos allí.
Some magnets are not in their best shape; they have fallen off and lost some part. Although some magnets have suffered damage over time, their sentimental value prevents me from getting rid of them. Each one has a story, a special moment associated with it. I always try to fix them as best I can so that they remain part of my collection.
Algunos imanes no se encuentran en su mejor forma; se han caído y han perdido alguna parte. Aunque algunos imanes han sufrido daños con el tiempo, su valor sentimental me impide deshacerme de ellos. Cada uno tiene una historia, un momento especial asociado. Siempre trato de arreglarlos lo mejor posible para que sigan formando parte de mi colección.
And my favorites? Here they are: they are the ones from my trip to London. This pair are the ones I like the most of all the ones in the fridge. They have a nice finish, they are made of metal, which makes them quite resistant. Besides, when I traveled there, what I most wanted to see were the typical red cabins and buses, so I had to bring some of them with me when I came back, and now they accompany me in the fridge.
¿Y mis favoritos? Aquí están: son los de mi viaje a Londres. Este par son los que más me gustan de todos los que están en la nevera. Tienen un lindo acabado, son de metal, lo que los hace bastante resistentes. Además, cuando viajé allí, lo que más deseaba ver eran las típicas cabinas rojas y los autobuses, así que debía traerme algo de ellos al regresar, y ahora me acompañan en la nevera.
