Can you believe it... I was busy reading your part 1 post and I was amazed by the ferry. While reading it, I was thinking about showing it to my wife too. However, I was still reading it when our electricity went off.
The branches of a massive tree across the road were pushing against the power cables and moving around in the wind, causing those cables to start touching each other. This caused massive shorts and explosion-loke sparks until it blew a fuse and we were all without electricity.
The city council eventually sent someone to fix the fuse and restore the electricity. But nothing has been done about the tree. Today we had strong winds again, and again I heard the shorts outside and saw our lights dipping from having power surges frequently. I am quite concerned about the situation because this is causing damage to our appliances and the computer too. But they just don't seem to be bothered...

Oh no… that’s crazy they don’t do anything about the cause.
I hope they will eventually.
Let’s hope also that you keep the electricity and no appliances are harmed. I can imagine… the damage that man happen.
I love it so far. 🥰 Some days are very tiring but others are awesome.
Some quiet roads, sometimes we have busy roads and traffic jams.
France was just lovely… sadly it isn’t wasn’t as quiet anymore the last days. Until this afternoon. I think it will continue a while now.
I had no internet for a while… we are now at an accommodation that has Wi-Fi so I posted a StreetArt post and wrote part 3. i post it in the morning.

Yes, the problem still hasn't been sorted out. The tree is right on the border of the property belonging to our neighbor across the road. It seems that there is an argument between him and the city council now... he reckons the council is responsible for cutting back the tree and the city council reckons the tree is partially on his property so it is his responsibility... In the meantime, we keep getting power surges every time the wind starts blowing...
I am glad you are enjoying your trip and that you got some access to Wi-Fi. I'm busy catching up on my reading again so I will visit your profile to catch up on your trip if I have missed anything so far... I love reading your posts!

Oh my, sounds like they have to make an agreement. I hope they resolve the argument and the branches get cut so the power surges don’t happen.

We arrived last evening in the next accommodation and will stay for 7 nights. So time to get groceries, wash clothes… rest a bit and post more parts of this journey. 😊😎 Before we travel further.
