I am glad that I was not the only one experiencing it as such! I could not speak to anyone really because of the language barrier, and back then I was not on any social media platforms really. Plus, everyone back home had never experienced snow! So, it was something totally new.

I know what you mean. A new country, the other language… snow can be a totally new experience. Especially when it is slush… England seems to have the most of that kind of snow
On your trip didn’t they speak english anywhere? When I drove through Sweden everybody replied in english even if we tried to speak some basic Swedish in shops and restaurants. Or meeting people on the street.
