This Wednesday, while my son and I were on our way to make one of our deliveries for Bombones Alile, we had a pleasant surprise. Right on the corner of 12th and Zapata, we ran into my husband, who invited us to enjoy a delicious ice cream at a new ice cream shop that turned out to be a real gem.
Este miercoles, mientras mi hijo y yo nos dirigíamos a realizar una de nuestras entregas de Bombones Alile, tuvimos una agradable sorpresa. Justo en la esquina de 12 y Zapata, nos encontramos con mi esposo, quien nos invitó a disfrutar de un delicioso helado en una nueva heladería que resultó ser una verdadera joya.
The place is called “La Crem de la crem”, and it couldn't be more aptly named. From the moment we walked in, we were captivated by its charm and cozy atmosphere, despite being a small place. The ice cream flavors were perfectly displayed, and I was pleasantly surprised to discover such innovative and tempting options as cheesecake, brownie, Romeo and amarena, among many others. I definitely have yet to try them all, as some of them are completely unknown to me.
El lugar se llama "La Crem de la crem", y no podría tener un nombre más acertado. Desde el momento en que entramos, nos cautivó su encanto y su ambiente acogedor, a pesar de ser un local pequeño. Los sabores de helado estaban perfectamente exhibidos, y me sorprendió gratamente descubrir opciones tan innovadoras y tentadoras como el cheesecake, el brownie, el Romeo y el amarena, entre muchos otros. Definitivamente, tengo pendiente probarlos todos, ya que algunos de ellos son completamente desconocidos para mí.
But that was not all. In the establishment's other display, we discovered a wide variety of sweets that immediately whetted our appetites. Cakes with a shiny chocolate coating, éclairs, tartlets and other desserts looked irresistible. Each of them looked like a work of culinary art.
Pero eso no fue todo. En el otro expositor del establecimiento, descubrimos una gran variedad de dulces que nos abrieron el apetito de inmediato. Pasteles con una brillante cobertura de chocolate, éclairs, tartaletas y otros postres tenían un aspecto irresistible. Cada uno de ellos parecía una obra de arte culinaria.
The impeccable cleanliness of the place and the modern design contributed to create a really pleasant experience. Although we didn't have time to sit and enjoy the ambiance calmly due to our rush to complete pending deliveries, and it was quite crowded, I managed to capture some photos of the place that reflected its beauty and warmth. I really liked the fodo wall that has a neon message that says: “Look on the bright side of life”, but using the word ice cream in the phrase making a play on words.
La impecable limpieza del lugar y el moderno diseño contribuyeron a crear una experiencia realmente agradable. Aunque no tuvimos tiempo de sentarnos y disfrutar del ambiente con calma debido a nuestras prisas por completar las entregas pendientes, y estaba bastante abarrotado, conseguí capturar algunas fotos del lugar que reflejaban su belleza y calidez. Me gustó mucho la pared de fodo que tiene un mensaje de neón que dice: «Mira el lado bueno de la vida», pero utilizando la palabra helado en la frase haciendo un juego de palabras.
Fortunately, we didn't leave empty-handed. We placed a to-go order, as they also offer that service quickly and efficiently. They delivered the ice cream in clear plastic containers with lids. Personally, I chose a combination of flavors, chocolate, a classic in my house and dulce de leche, my son's favorite flavor. We were eager to try these delicious ice creams at home.
Afortunadamente, no nos fuimos con las manos vacías. Hicimos un pedido para llevar, ya que también ofrece ese servicio de forma rápida y eficaz. Nos entregaron el helado en envases de plástico transparente con tapa. Personalmente, elegí una combinación de sabores, chocolate, un clásico en mi casa y dulce de leche, el sabor favorito de mi hijo. Estábamos ansiosos por probar estos deliciosos helados en casa.
As we continue on our way, we think we should definitely come back to this place. Fortunately, it is not too far from our home, and the variety of amazing flavors it offers has left us wanting .
