A few days ago my nephew came to my house from the province of Cienfuegos to support us in our business "Chocolates Alile" that we started three months ago. We really needed help, my son and I could not get enough, and no one better than him to support us in this beautiful family business.
Well, as he comes from a province in the interior of the country, he needs to legalize his situation in Havana. Today we got up early to do the paperwork. Actually, doing paperwork here in Cuba takes quite some time, and we arrived at the office at 9:00 am, only half an hour after it opened. We were there until 3:00 pm. Actually the offices were quite crowded, lots of people doing different paperwork and everything was quite delayed. Luckily we were able to solve everything the same day, because sometimes you have to go several times. They gave us a provisional document and in 30 days, my nephew will receive his new ID card to have a legal status in the city that will make it easier for him to do all the official procedures that are needed.
Hola amigos de esta querida comunidad Daily Blog que me encanta porque podemos mostrar en ella nuestro quehacer diario. Hoy vengo a compartir con ustedes como me fue el dia de ayer. Hace unos días llegó a mi casa mi sobrino desde la provincia de Cienfuegos para apoyarnos en nuestro negocio "Chocolates Alile" que iniciamos hace tres meses. Realmente necesitábamos ayuda, mi hijo y yo no dábamos abasto, y nadie mejor que él para apoyarnos en este hermoso negocio familiar.
Bueno, como él viene de una provincia del interior del país, necesita legalizar su situación en La Habana. Hoy nos levantamos temprano para realizar los trámites correspondientes. En realidad, hacer papeleo aquí en Cuba lleva bastante tiempo, y llegamos a la oficina a las 9:00 am, sólo media hora después de que abriera. Estuvimos allí hasta las 3:00 pm. Realmente las oficinas estaban bastante llenas , muchas personas haciendo diferentes tramites y todo fue bastante demorado. Por suerte pudimos resolverlo todo el mismo dia , porque en ocaciones hay que ir varias veces. Nos dieron un documento proviscional y en 30 días, mi sobrino recibirá su nuevo carnet de Identidad para tener un estatus legal en la ciudad que le facilitará hacer todos los trámites oficiales que se necesiten.
Leaving the office, we were on our way back home when my eyes caught an explosion of colors as we passed by John Lennon Park. I stopped the bike, I didn't want to miss that beautiful spectacle that nature was giving us. I also took the opportunity to show the park to my nephew, who had never seen it up close.
Al salir de la oficina, íbamos de vuelta a casa cuando mis ojos captaron una explosión de colores al pasar por el parque John Lennon. Paré la moto, no quería perderme aquel bello espectáculo que nos regalaba la naturaleza. También aproveché para enseñarle el parque a mi sobrino, que nunca lo había visto de cerca.
On one of the park's benches, the one closest to the corner of 17th and 6th Streets, there is a statue of John Lennon, after whom the park is named, a famous English composer and member of the legendary quartet The Beatles. This group marked a milestone in the musical world for decades, as they were the first to introduce new recording and music production techniques.
The statue used to wear glasses, but they have been stolen on several occasions and subsequently replaced. Nowadays he does not wear them. The park has vegetation that at this time of the year is dressed in vibrant colors, and I could not resist the temptation to go into it, before returning home for good.
En uno de los bancos del parque, el más cercano a la esquina de las calles 17 y 6, hay una estatua de John Lennon, que da nombre al parque, célebre compositor inglés y miembro del legendario cuarteto The Beatles. Este grupo marcó un hito en el mundo musical durante décadas, ya que fueron los primeros en introducir nuevas técnicas de grabación y producción musical.

Upon arriving at the park, the vivid colors of the vegetation and the blue sky in the background created an image worthy of admiration. It was as if nature itself was painting a picture in the park, filling the atmosphere with a contagious energy. But as in Cuba at this time of the year the weather is a little crazy, shortly after touring the park we had to leave because it started to cloud up threatening rain and we were on a motorcycle, so we had to leave faster than we wanted to.
Al llegar al parque, los vivos colores de la vegetación y al fondo el cielo azul crearon una imagen digna de admiración. Era como si la propia naturaleza estuviera pintando un cuadro en el parque, llenando el ambiente de una energía contagiosa. Pero como en Cuba en esta época del año el clima es un poco loco, al poco tiempo de estar recorriendo el parque nos tuvimos que ir porque se empezó a nublar amenazando lluvia y nosotros íbamos en moto, así que nos tuvimos que ir más rápido de lo que queríamos.
We said goodbye to the park taking with us the memory of that burst of colors and the feeling of gratitude for the opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty in the middle of the daily routine.
