Moving to the topic at attend, anger has always been an emotion which at the end leaves all parties in regrets. Though anger is meant for us to show our displease about something, an issue or somebody, but since I was born, I have never really seen anybody controlling it or using it the way it is meant to be, I guessed we can all say the emotion is stronger than man.

MY STORY

When I was still in primary school an event occurred which was very displeasing to me, the event was that my junior brother sent our last born an errand and our last born kind of refused to attend to the errand, this action provoked my immediate younger brother and he started beating our last born, he continued beating him for a long time and I got provoked, I asked him to stop and told him that the beating is enough and our brother which was the last born has learned his lesson but he wouldn’t listen to me, his action provoked me further and I had to intervene by giving him a slap, he started insulting me which lead to my giving him a beating of a life time, he sustained a lot of injuries and I was not happy with myself for doing that to him, because I had never been that aggressive in my whole life.

Unfortunately for me, my mother didn’t see the action the way I did, she shouted at me flogged me and I was in her bad side for the whole week.

I regretted my action and said to myself that I will never allow my anger to ever get to such extent. And thanks to God almighty I can boldly if not proudly say that overtime I have learnt to control my anger.

WHAT I DO WHEN EVER SOMEONE TRYS TO OFFEND ME OR MAKE ME GO ANGRY

  • One action I believed to have helped me to be able to control my anger was me first thinking about every situation before reacting, saying anything or even addressing any issue. I believe if we really sat down to think about most situations we wont easily get angry over any situation or thing.

  • Another thing I found very helpful was always never to take the situation or statement to heart, I always try not to see these event as an offence, I always try to forgive and overlook the situations even before they person could realise and think of apologising. Though many might say, you won’t be respected by many for not taking things as an offence, though I have experienced these situations, but I believe peace is best to be chosen then making enemy for yourself just to get respect, and today I can say I am respected by many and loved my most in everywhere I go and find myself.

I do get angry sometimes, but I think I only get angry when I am tired and stressed.

LESSONS TO BE LEARNT

Anger is an emotion we can control when we chose to do so, anger has never led to anything better rather than enmity, fight, violence, discomfort and regret to all who partake of it.

When we are displeased with things and situations it is best to address these issues with calm mind, wisdom and understanding, peace is an asset we cant afford to lose.

Thanks for gracing my blog with your votes and presence, my the good Lord richly bless you.
