Greetings everyone!
From the days of old in Nigeria, one of the ways we used to cheer our national football team whenever they're embarking on an international tournament was with a special track dedicated to them, and this goes a very long way in sparking up things positively and brooming a winning vibe.
These songs do not only get the players going; they also serve as a platform for fans to align all their shouts and cheers.

Such a time is here!
Waking up this morning, I walked into YouTube to get a feel for some of these songs, with my sound system very loud, to set my room and environment alive for the upcoming match between Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations tournament. Then I came across the hit song of 2018 when Nigeria was in the Russia 2018 World Cup.
"Wow! Wow! Wow!"
I was all high, rolling on my bed and listening to the song again and again. My mind was so filled with maximum conviction that today's match is going to be a victory for us.
The song's title is "Issa Goal" and it's done by Naira Marley, Slimcase, Simi, Lil Kesh, Falz, and Olamide.
It's very rare to see six superstars in one song, and this shows how big Nigerian football is to her people, and how it attract support from all corners of the country.
Although my national team has not lived up to expectations recently, they've suffered a series of losses in matches, but deep down, watching and dancing to this song this morning, I have this confidence that we are going to shout and jubilate at the end of the day.
Although it's a song from six years ago, it's still as fresh as it was yesterday. It's just like how those Christmas songs that were done in the 1980s and 1990s keep being fresh whenever it's Christmas time; that's how this song resurrected to be brand new today, and it's looking as if it's done for this particular tournament.
I've been posting regularly about the tournament on my WhatsApp status, and a lot of people have become interested. You know what? They're going to fall in love more and become more patriotic when I take this post to them.
The song talked a lot about the Naija thing when it comes to football, especially how the jersey stands out.
That's where Falz mentioned, £🎶"Naija Jersey is a goal."🎶*
Oh yeah, in every tournament, Nigeria Jersey always becomes the most liked. Nations—I mean, even the other participating nations endorse it as the best. And for sure, these hypes, even though we don't get to win the trophies, give us a sense of winning—at least winning for jersey shows. Lol😅
We are playing against a strong nation (Equatorial Guinea), and it's going to be a tough one, but I'm very confident that victory is certain at the end.
The match is scheduled to take place in the afternoon of Sunday, and from now until that moment, this song is going to be on repeat. I don't want to have a dull moment at all.
Thank you for reading.
