Scientific development in our food

in Hive Learners7 months ago

Hello everyone! 🙌

Science has undoubtedly revolutionized our lives, making everything easier with the continuous rollout of new technologies. Just think about it: if the internet still required climbing mountains or trees to get signals, our daily activities would be drastically different. Instead, we now enjoy the convenience of accessing vast amounts of information and connecting with others instantly, all from the palm of our hands. Tasks that once took hours or even days can now be completed in mere moments, thanks to innovations in communication, transportation, and countless other fields. From ordering food to learning new skills, the impact of science on our lives is truly remarkable, paving the way for a more efficient and interconnected world.

However, there are some fields where scientists are overdoing it, and in one way or another, it's backfiring on us. I'm sure you've watched movies where scientists produced a disease and sought a cure for it as a way of being prepared to withstand any challenges the world throws at us. Many times these experiments don't go well and end up backfiring on humans, causing big pandemics.

I won't emphasize the disease aspect; instead, I'll focus on synthetic food. Maybe you don't know, but there is synthetic rice out there that looks like the original rice, and it's possible you've eaten it without knowing. When the trend emerged some years ago, I took my time to read about it and discovered that it originated in China as a way to cover up the shortage in agricultural rice production.

What about synthetic meat?

As funny as it may sound, I once tasted this, and we realized something was off when we chewed endlessly and it refused to break apart. It turned out to be a skin of the meat which my mom bought, thinking it was beef skin. When we tried cutting it into pieces with a knife, we noticed it was totally different from real beef skin. It was like a modified fiber joined together with a strong blend of gums.

There are a lot of synthetic foods out there that people are eating without knowing, all thanks to the work of science.
Each time I think about these things and how we ingest unknown materials, I just wish God could come and end the world.
The worst thing is that we're just getting started. When hunger strikes even more due to food shortages, more of these products are produced to mitigate the effects.

One area where I think science isn't doing enough to stabilize is the effect of weather.

As we all know, the earth is suffering due to how badly we're treating it, with a significant contribution from science and technology, such as emissions from cars, bikes, and industries. I've heard that there are now methods to curb carbon emissions from cars and convert industrial emissions into usable resources like electricity. Though these methods exist, they're not widespread. We need to step up and make these methods accessible to everyone to help make the earth a better place.

Thanks for reading.

Hello, your introduction is very accurate, there are many inventions that have helped us a lot and today it would be difficult to live without them.

But the worrying thing is the effects that artificial food can cause in our organism. Let's hope that people reflect and decrease the production of artificial food. Greetings.

Yeah, let's just hope so... because if it continues, we don't know what would become our health condition in times to come.

Thank you so much bro

It's truly important that scientific research are done in areas that promote sustainability. Investing in technologies that reduce carbon emissions, promote renewable energy, and safeguard food security. With this taken care of, we can be sure our society would be a more sustainable future.

Yes yes yes.
You're very correct.
