Organising Some Stuff

in GEMS4 months ago

Today, when I got back from work, I decided to organise some of the stuff I have for sale. While I did organise a bunch of vehicles into bags, alongside smaller bags of the figures I knew to go with particular sets, I didn't truly organise the stuff.

This is similar to how many of the sets are organised. I have one large bag with a vehicle in it, alongside the figures and weapons that come with that set.

This is great, but what I was left with was all of these smaller bags being put in larger boxes in my office, similar to how they were previously stored, and it just wasn't good enough.

My office is seriously overcrowded, which is easy, considering it's so small, but coupled with boxes, upon boxes, it got so bad that I only had enough space to get into the room and sit at my desk.

I have all of these small boxes that will be used to ship items, and they're good and secure, made even safer by using some old packaging material that I've been saving up from Aimee's things she orders.

I essentially just made a nest of the stuff, and sat the vehicle inside it, which will hopefully keep it safe while in transit.

I was going to re-use some boxes, and have been collecting them up, but most of the Amazon boxes are too big for what I'm sending.

A little bit more paper on the top, and we're pretty much good to go.

The only way to know what's inside is by labelling each of them, and I'll put the shipping details over the name as they're purchased.

The boxes take up such a small amount of space when compared to these sets lying out, and the added benefit, other than managing space, is the ease of mind, knowing that all of these sets will be kept safe and complete within their bags, within boxes.

The boxes are really secure and safe, but to make them a bit safer, I'll duct tape over the opening.

I have 10 of these boxes, which should do for the time being, but I'll need to order a few more I think. I'd like to get these again because I'm really happy with how they are.

The only problem is, I've run through the sandwich bags I bought for sorting the Lego while building the sets, so that's annoying, and has kind of put a road block in the way of me organising all of the sets in one go. I'll have to run to the shop to get a few more.

You need to keep organised with these things. I saw someone confess that they had done some wonderful packaging for some item, but then forgot to put the item in when they sent it out! You want those good reviews. Well done on re-using packaging. There's much of that stuff out there.

God, that would be terrible. Luckily I've been careful with everything I've sold so far.

Having it all pre-packaged is also good for not only managing space, but also, while I'm away, if anything sells and someone needs to go through the stuff to send it away, at least it'll all be labelled and ready to go.
