Christmas Came Early

I'm back home today with Aimee and Kaleb, and we're having our Christmas dinner today with my family.

Early Christmas

Last year we done the same thing, but the oppisite, so we were down in Aimee's house with her family and had a hang out with them all on Christmas Eve and returned back to my town on Christmas afternoon.

It's good to be able to see each of our families and divide our time evenly considering they all want to be able to see us and Kaleb. Essentially we can all wake up together on Christmas morning, open presents have breakfast and then head off in the afternoon to do it all again.

Our towns are close, at about a 25-minute drive, so it's no big deal to divide our time between both houses and also the roads are fairly clear on Christmas afternoon over here.

The Night So Far

We got in around 3 o'clock, hung out, started cooking dinner, threw on some Christmas songs and opened a couple of beers.

We're not far from having dinner finished at the moment, and afterwards we're going to take Kaleb for a walk around the road to see some of the Christmas lights (which has become his favourite thing about this time of year)

Then we'll come back to the house and set up some board games to play, listen to some music and have a few drinks and maybe a cheeky dessert and by that stage Kaleb will probably be ready to go down for the night. When he's asleep we'll probably come back out to continue hanging out, play some games, or maybe watch a movie, it depends on what everyone wants to do really.

I can't wait to wake up tomorrow and let Kaleb open his presents. We've divided the stuff we got him between here and Aimee's house, so he'll have plenty of stuff to open tomorrow.

It's good doing it this way really, because it kind of extends the holiday for a few extra days which is great, because I've always felt like Christmas goes by too quickly, so any chance to extend it is welcome.

Everyone is in good spirit too, which is nice. It's great for us all to kind of have the sigh of relief today and know we have a few days off to just chill out and enjoy each others company.

I hope everyone on Hive has a great time over the next few days, and here's to 2025, the new year is approaching fast and I believe that it will be a great time for us all, especially anyone involved now in Hive, and the Crypto world as a whole.
