There is a steam Locomotive with a similar chassis named the Royal Hudson and was kept running for a hundred years until it was mothballed for the last 20 years rusting away at a works yard not far from where I live. The provincial government cited that it was too expensive to keep running as the passenger rail from North Vancouver to the Whistler Blackcomb ski resort.
