Cayman is only land/beach for thee rich such that the original inhabitants can't afford to live there any more.

All the best property is owned by the rich and the more inland areas are where locals have to live. Even though they do have one of the highest median pay in most of the world, it's only enough to really survive since everything is so expensive. Island living is never cheap (I know from experience), but add in huge amounts of cash from the extremely rich and prices skyrocket!
