Not really 3d design and printing are not that easy also toys can be made with a lot more materials than just plastic, 3d printing is actually helping the toy industry reduce r&d and also opening up some more avenue for smaller businesses, 3d printing can't compete with traditional manufacturing unless it's custom/one-offs
