.io Domain Pricing

I was surprised to learn about the price of .io domains. So I looked on Cloudflare. Which I have found to be usually the cheapest. Except maybe Namecheap introductory offers. So when I was in the habit of registering domains, I often registered with Namecheap. Then transferred to Cloudflare.

.io domains are the most expensive on Cloudflare at 36 USD per year. Putting that in context, their annual rate for .com domains is $9.77. But unfortunately, they don't yet offer .ca domains.

Their cheapest is .uk at $4.71. Other cheap options include .work at $6.18 and .cc at $8.00
