RE: Burntisland back streets, trains, churches and an upside down wind surfing enthusiast!

Kite surfer taking a plunge right in front of cemetery, one of those you think you'll never get timing to perfection!

So many 'kirks' up yonder one could never get to visit them all, each comes dated, plus history that is normally interesting in one way or another. So many steeples so few peoples...., now many stand empty which is sad!

Enjoyable visit, great seeing blue skies in winter months.

Lots of them are no longer churches, in fact I read about one that has been deserted for a few years and now is unstable condition and threatening road traffic not that far away.

Hehe you know kirk sounds South African to me!

Most our churches are still up and running, not sure of attendance numbers I have not been myself in quite some time. Sounds familiar as our Afrikaans use the work 'kerk' slight variation, same place!
