That's crazy that you have to buy and install a new battery in order to return the other! Glad you got a new battery. You wouldn't want to get stuck somewhere with the temperatures like that.

Thank you @jayna! Yes, it would have been a bit of a disaster had I gotten stranded. Fortunately, work is 10 minutes (5 miles) from home and I could walk it if I had to, but would not want to in cold temps!
At least it would charge.
