A luxury treat for me and my family! My recent #FamilyVacation in Hong Kong was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. It was all thanks to my previous generous employer. I couldn't achieve it without their support. For the first time in my life, I was able to give myself, my mother, and my family a luxury treat we deserved.
I admit I sometimes think carelessly, and I do things without hesitation at any cost. For this time, it's not the money that matters but having a sense of fulfillment and self-indulgence, which I believe I need even just once in a while.
Feeling cozy at Hotel COZi
After thoroughly selecting the accommodations where I want my family to stay, I ended up booking at Hotel Cozi. Hong Kong has a lot of affordable accommodations, especially in popular cities like Tsim Sha Tsui, which is in the heart of Hong Kong and has easy access to iconic destinations and main transportation. However, despite their prime locations, I had many reasons not to choose them based on different reviews. Reasons include limited spaces, poor hygiene, noisy locations, incomplete facilities, and unsatisfying services. Besides, there are only a few hundred differences between the prices of cheaper hotels in Tsim Sha Tsui and Hotel COZi.
I thought it was a once-in-a-lifetime family vacation, so I wouldn't settle in a place where I would feel uncomfortable but rather give them the best. Besides, we have a kid, so we need a more spacious, quiet, and hygienic place. I chose Hotel COZi for many reasons. The top reason is having spacious rooms, a quiet location, and a cozy ambiance. It's a family-friendly hotel with complete facilities and excellent services. Comparing the prices of those in the main cities but offering poor services, I can say it's worth choosing Hotel COZi. Many would probably prefer to be practical and choose affordable ones because of their budget. But it's a family vacation and a good choice of accommodation matters. Otherwise, it wouldn't be worth it and relaxing at all. Another reason why I chose Hotel COZi is because, at those times, the weather conditions were unstable. And based on different forecasts, it would be rainy on the week of my family's stay in Hong Kong. So, I thought that even if we couldn't go out, we could relax in the comfort of our hotel, watch movies, sleep, or maximize our stay by going to its fitness center and other facilities. I chose the 3-bed room so that each of us could sleep comfortably. It is located on the 10th floor, so we had a better view of the peaceful surroundings and high-rise buildings. Easy access to the train station located just next to the hotel. A mall is just next to it with different dining spots and shops, so buying food and basic needs was easy for us. Hotel's hallways and elevator area. Rooms are soundproof, so you won't hear any noise and can peacefully sleep anytime. This hotel is perfect for those who want to stay in Hong Kong for longer days. Although quite pricey, the experience is the best, and there aren't any negative reviews I can give about its services. The hotel's spacious rooms give my niece enough space to play and run around. Each room is cleaned daily, and I liked the friendly room attendant. The room is well-lit and fully air-conditioned. If you want to stay here, you can check its website for references. It also has free Wi-Fi and a telephone that can be used for calling for room service and any concerns. It has built-in cabinets, so things are not cluttered, and a comfortable desk with a chair and a television. Sometimes, my niece would play hide and seek inside those cabinets. There's a shoe cabinet that we could also use for sitting or putting luggage. The mini bar is refilled with coffee and tea each day. An electric kettle is also available, and it was a huge thing for us since we had a kid who needed to drink warm milk daily. We just need to buy bottled water for drinking. There's also a mini refrigerator that became useful for us later in saving food and leftovers. The toilet is spacious, clean, and tidy. It has a shower with hot and cold water, free soup, shampoo, and conditioner. Disposables like toothbrushes, slippers, and even tissues are refilled every day. We even brought some back to the Philippines 🤣. Towels are cleaned and replaced daily, even when I told the room attendant not to do it since we only use them once daily. I wish we could bring them back home too, like the disposables, because they are good quality 🤣. A hairdryer was also available, which was useful when drying our hair at night. So, mine was kept safe inside my luggage. The hotel also offers laundry and dry cleaning services but with additional charges. Breakfast by the window The window bench became our favorite spot in the hotel. It offers a relaxing view of Yuen Long and distant mountains and oceans. Although I prefer nature's view more than high-rise buildings, seeing the calm view before the glass window as I woke up in the morning evoked feelings of peace and gratitude. Each day, I felt grateful for the opportunity life gave me and the blissful retreat for my family. It wasn't just my favorite, but theirs as well. With this, I was inspired to install a window bench if I build my own house someday. Among us, the little kid loved it the most. Upon waking up with her groggy hair and dried droll around her mouth, she would run toward the window bench, climb on it, and watch the surroundings while waiting for the train to pass. It also became her playing and eating area, so we gave that territory all to her. Definitely yes! Our one-week family vacation was an extraordinary feeling of fulfillment, joy, and gratitude. Materializing the once-dream vacation filled me with pride and accomplishment. I'll be forever grateful for the opportunity I received to create cherished and shared moments with my family. This will stay with me forever and hopefully in the memories of my loved ones, too. FYI I can't find its exact location on Worldmappin, but you can check it out on Google Maps.
