Friendship, this is mutual bond of trust, affection and support between two or more people. Friendship can't be forced its a voluntary relationship.
why you need a friend
Friendship helps you in many. You have someone to talk to when you're down, you have a supporter and you have someone you can trust. A true friend can give you a reason to life, he/she is one who will run to your aid in any moment, someone you call on and are sure to turn up. A true friend can even transcend to become more than family to you. So we all need a true friend.
but how do we know a true friend
It's true we only can see the physical appearance of one and may not truly know the true personality of someone. But we can't loose hope on friendship. Sometimes, we look beyond the gaps of age and gender. We also examine ones character and think: is he/she someone i can walk with? Can I be proud to call this person my friend? Also remember that friendship is base on mutual respect, so ask: do he/she respects me.

Yes, we all need a friend, but if you rush in to become ones friend, it may affect in a bad way. So, watch out, did the person talks trash about his/her friends? Do he/she always loves to gossip? Do he/she laughs at others downfall? If the answer to this questions are yes, in nigeria we will say: run oo ,because such one will drag you to your ruin. Look for someone who will support you,someone who cares, someone who won't only come to gossip about others downfall but will always come up new business ideas, some who will correct you when you're wrong, true friend want support you when you mess up, he may help you out of the mess, but will surely give you a long lecture later. That is a true friend, go for such ones, you won't regret it.
if friendship is mutual, so what do you have to do on your part
You in turn have to show the same respect you friend show, always supportive and caring too. You have to make you friend know you have his back and always ready to reach out for his hand when he is in trouble. Maintaining friendship is the hardest part, there sure will be times when you will quarrel, but don't let 1 bad deed cover all the good deeds he has done. So make the friendship a mutual one and it will last.
