This post is for the #wednesdaywalk challenge and the #makemesmile challenge collaboration. This collaboration initially took place once a month, but due to its popularity, @tattoodjay (of the #wednesdaywalk) and @elizacheng (of #makemesmile) decided to make it a weekly thing.
If you want to know more about the rules, visit this week's post by @tattoodjay where you will find all the rules at the bottom of his post after you've enjoyed his beautiful photos from his walk.
Recently, I was scanning through the guidelines for Wednesday Walk again, just to refresh my memory of what it is actually all about. Maybe I have forgotten something or simply missed something...
That was when I noticed this particular point as set out by @tattoodjay...
"Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss."
That reminded me of the many photos I have that I often take for fun in and around our garden. I would just take my cell phone and capture some color and/or any activity that catches my attention. Sometimes I would bring some flowers in from the garden for my wife, and just capture a shot or two of those flowers.
I decided to take my cell phone again and go outside to "see what I could find that I would otherwise miss".
It didn't even take me long before I found this little spider. As I came closer, he ran away and found a little hiding place under some leaves. I decided to just remain patient and see what was going to happen.
Just standing still, I didn't even wait all that long before he felt safe and returned.
He was hanging upside-down, but he got active again...

Close by, I also noticed a runner bringing some new color to the garden.

Taking a closer look, it's almost as if there is a glow to it...

A little later the same afternoon, I went out into the garden again and noticed how the same flower had opened up even more.

Looking from a different angle...

These flowers open up in the morning and then close again in the evening. This is a daily routine.
But why I was so amazed by this process, was the fact that just about a week before, I captured a similar process from a rose plant...but over two days.
The next photo was taken in the afternoon. According to the time stamp on my cell phone camera, it was just before 3 pm.

The following two photos were taken the following day just before 2 pm.

I love the soft color around the edges...

And more joyful colors in our garden.
As mentioned earlier, many flowers find their way into the house...LOL.
In the last photo, also inside the house, I focused on the flower alone...

And that's all for today, folks.
Thank you for reading my post! I do appreciate it!
As mentioned, all of today's photos were taken with my cell phone.
