I was looking for some ideas for new photos and as I had a meeting in Umhlanga yesterday morning, the idea popped into my head..."What about architecture?"
Umhlanga is known for its modern and classy architecture. Umhlanga is located just north of Durban on the east coast of South Africa
So, we left early to allow us some time to get some shots before the meeting. The other factor we also had to consider, was the weather. Some rain has been forecasted for the day. I thought I'd take a chance and if the weather allows me to get some shots before the meeting, that would be great. Otherwise, I would have to see what the weather would be like after the meeting.
This is the building where the meeting was scheduled.

Across the road from Capital Legacy, was this interesting building.
Having a closer look. In these photos, you can also see that some thick clouds were starting to make their appearance.
Looking back at Capital Legacy, the Holiday Inn Express is to the right of Capital Legacy, with a private parking area separating the two buildings. This was also where we parked our car.
Behind the Holiday Inn Express, the Umhlanga Arch is also visible.
Walking down to the bottom corner, the name of the Holiday Inn Express is nicely framed by these little trees.
From this position, looking down south, I could see some beautiful clouds coming in.
Looking out east, over the ocean, some more impressive clouds.
Getting back to the building for today though...
I walked around the corner to the front of the Holiday Inn Express. Sanding in front of the Holiday Inn Express, I took this shot, which should be a good indication of what the view will be over the ocean from inside the hotel. And the higher you go up to higher floors, the better the view will be.

Just to the right of the main entrance, is this beautiful water feature/fountain, with water constantly running down from the top...
Across the road from the Holiday Inn Express, is the Hilton Garden Inn.

It seems that the Hilton Garden Inn and the Umhlanga Arch, are part of the same building.
I couldn't resist the temptation to take one more shot of those impressive clouds from where I was standing.
Then it was time for our meeting.
After we came out of the meeting it was nice, sunny weather and I managed to get some nice shots at the beach as well. I will share those photos in another post.
