This morning and early afternoon was beautiful and sunny - a perfect day to begin cleaning up the yard. We need to get our garden back together after allowing it to rest for a year, and clean up all the winter damage that has accumulated over the months.
First step: clean up all the pine cones!
It was a big task for my young ones, everyone got a bag and filled it up with pine cones on the paths. Once they were cleared, the yard looked way better!
Cherry Blossoms!
It's a happy/sad occasion - happy to see the beautiful flowers on our fruit tree, but sad they're showing up so early. Frost date is still a month away and their is a high chance we'll have some cold days ahead. IF it gets too cold, the blossoms could freeze and we'll have no summer cherries... but we'll have to wait and see!
