I'm happy to report things have improved with Dungeon Cities. The game has become playable again, it seems the high-level monsters have gone away. Stamina is still an issue, but with enough leveling up, this will improve.
I'm also happy to report that DRUBBLE recovered! It's stable around 0.008 - 0.01 HIVE. This is still much lower than the introduced price of 0.05, but at least is has some value.
Problem: Inventory
There are some issues still out-standing, but as this is a pre-alpha game, I can give it some slack. Besides stamina running out so quickly, the other issue is inventory size. One of the attractions to this game is exploring the dungeons and collecting loot. But players can only hold 5 inventory items! That fills up quickly.
It doesn't take long before you have to start dropping items to pick up better ones.
Solution? Buy a bag!
The solution to inventory problems is to purchase a bag. This will increase your inventory from 5 -> 15. That (along with increased Stamina) would make the game much more enjoyable. Just have to level up to increase stamina, and buy a bag to increase inventory.
I have lot's of DRUBBLE, so buying a bag won't be a big deal and there is a variety of options.
The Minor Herb bag increases inventory by 10 which is perfect. And it is surprisingly inexpensive, considering the current value of DRUBBLE. I go to purchase it, but then notice something...
What???? A Minor Bag is not 10 DRUBBLE, it's 10 HBD!
Considering the 5 HBD price of admission and costly in-game purchases for functionality, this game still has some developing to do. I can't justify 10 HBD to increase my inventory capacity.
Still See the Potential
I still see the potential in this game. It's just very early. Once things are more polished, more developed, balanced, corrected and improved - then perhaps we can discuss a further financial investment into the game.
But until then, it's DRUBBLE ONLY. I'll hold on to my HBD and deal with only holding 5 inventory items, thank you very much.
