Do I have to insist ?
There goes my #sgslife post for today, me, on Christmas Eve asking myself if I should continue to fight for my little startup or not.
It's now several months I am doing my best to make my business a reality, but it refuses to start getting results.
I know, some of you will encourage me saying : it's only a few months. You need to be patient and be strong.
But not selling a single service, serving a few products (less 1K€ in those 6+ months) and most of those sales were made to family members doesn't bring much hope.
When I check my social networks, where I post often, I barely see any post sharing or likes. When someone shares something it's 95% someone of my family too, and when I speak of family it's not counting the uncles, aunts nor even cousins as they remain silent too.
I don't name my business here on purpose as it seems it's "bad practice" to show distress when you speak about your business, but sorry, I am honest, and I prefer to seek advices than going to bankruptcy just because "we need to stay strong and proud"...
The situation is not easy in Europe, everything costs an arm, and we are a lot of people in need of a job. All of us fighting against products and services coming from abroad where life is 10 times cheaper while our government continues to sign agreements with those countries making the competition even more unfair. (Example Mercosur)
I am not someone giving up easily, those who know me can tell, but I am not volunteering to financial suicide either.
Or, maybe it's just the seasonal depression making me anxious?
I will continue to fight a few months, as I am covered by the business incubator, and I'll check the results with them. I want to succeed. Let's see if I can make it.
If you have advices or wanna talk about it, please do so directly by DM in discord. You for sure know how to find me :)
Thank you for your time.
