The new Hive Power Up Month has now been running for 3 days. Let's see how things have been going for so far.
For those who missed it, you can read the announcement here.
Substantial start and slow decline
The Power Up Month (PUM) started at the same time as the Power Up Day (PUD). It is therefore normal that the first day was also a success of crowds, PUD rules making all participants equally eligible for the PUM.
However, since then there are fewer and fewer users who are participating in the challenge to get the new PUM badge. Let's see this with a small graph:
As you can see, on the first day of the month, 588 users matched the rules thanks to the power-up performed for the Hive PUD. Among them, 149 users chose not to do a power-up but rather to publish a post with the 100% Hive Power payment option.
The next day, the number of power-ups dropped drastically to 157 while the number of 100% posts dropped too to 83.
As of writing, those numbers are still declining slowly.
Hard to stay committed
Our conclusion for the moment is that it seems difficult to stay committed to this challenge. One should note that the tokenomics conditions at the moment are not quite favorable to powering up HIVE.
Either way, there are still over 27 days left and that could change. The future will tell.
What seems certain is that those who will succeed in obtaining this badge may not be numerous, which will only make this one more deserving.
Good luck to everyone who is still in the race!
