Engagement is the key on Hive.
I usually try to engage but some time reading the comment and reply with thanks just to inform the commenter that I have read the comment (its one way of appreciating others) is also good in my opinion.

        I agree that engagement is very important on hive but I think it's also good to have a certain standard in doing that.
