A Thoughtful Gift: Making a Pencil Tidy of a Dog for My Friend

in DIYHub3 days ago

Hi guys, and I hope you are in good health and goodness this is a new week. Today I had thought of changing my routine of making a cardboard craft. I needed a gift for my friend Dedee who loves dogs and anything that has been made by hand. And so I wanted to make her a pencil holder in the form of a dog for her to be able to find smile. This was entertaining and innovative and, as it happens, this project became a practical way of keeping pencils and pens.

Here’s how I made it.

Materials Used

-cartoon paper

  • Pencil
  • Eraser
  • Acrylic paint (black )
    Postal color blue
  • Paintbrush
  • Scissors
  • Cutter
  • White paper
  • Gum

Steps

Step 1: Things that I used include I had to remove one side of the carton and then I sketch the figure of a dog on it.

Step 2: Next, I had to ensure I took a shape of the dog from the cartoon paper that had been provided to me.

Step 3: I painted the body and the ears black, the face blue because this is her favorite color.

Step 4: I had to paint the cartoon paper and then cut each into two equal halves. After that, I took a long piece of cardboard, of dimensions 7 cm x 40 cm, and also painted it blue.

Step 5: I pasted the long strip of cartoon at the back of the cut-out-dog so they would shape a holder.

Step 6: I glued a nose and a mouth for the dog on its face, which I painted on the black acrylic paint on a white paper.
