Greetings friends. In the community there are usually many veterinary days to attend to the pets of all of us who live here. Although it had been a while without doing one, recently one took place in my community, where a maximum of 200 pets could be attended.

Saludos amigos. En la comunidad suelen hacerse muchas jornadas veterinarias para atender a las mascotas de todos los que vivimos por acá. Aunque había pasado tiempo sin hacer alguna, hace poco tuvo lugar una en mi comunidad, donde se podrían atender a un máximo de 200 mascotas.

Although I thought that many people would come to the veterinary day, the truth is that not many came, something that gave me to understand that people do not trust these veterinarians, or just do not care about pets, I do not know, but the point is that there were not many people.

However, there were some that I was able to photograph with permission of their owners, many lovely dogs.

Aunque pensé que llegarían muchas personas a la jornada veterinaria, la verdad es que no llegaron muchos, algo que me dio a entender que las personas no confían mucho en estos veterinarios, o simplemente no le interesan las mascotas, no lo sé, pero el punto es que no fueron muchas personas.

Sin embargo, sí habían algunos a los que pude fotografiar con permiso de sus dueños, muchos perritos encantadores.

In fact, if I remember correctly there were only two other cats in the day, besides mine, which makes me think that there are many cat owners who do not take the time to take their cats, perhaps because they are working or because they believe that cats do not need veterinary care as a dog does.

But the truth is that cats also need to visit a veterinarian regularly, just like all the pets we have.

De hecho, si mal no recuerdo solo habían dos gatos más en la jornada, además de los dos míos, lo que me hace pensar que hay muchos dueños de gatos que no se toman el tiempo de llevar a sus gatos, quizás por estar trabajando o porque creen que los gatos no necesitan atención veterinaria como la necesita un perro.

Pero lo cierto es que es necesario que los gatos también visiten regularmente a un veterinario, tal como todas las mascotas que tenemos.

Obviously I took Bucky and Tchalla, my two cats. Tchalla is the black kitty and Bucky is the gray and brown cat. They are the two cats I have at the moment, although I have other strays that come to visit from time to time, but on this occasion I did not manage to capture them in time to take them along for the day.

Both of them were kept in a couple of bags. They are adult cats but not too big, so they fit perfectly in these bags and since I had to take them a bit far from home, they traveled quietly with me in the bags.

Evidentemente llevé a Bucky y a Tchalla, mis dos gatos. Tchalla es la gatita negra y Bucky el gato de colores grises y marrones. Son los dos gatos que tengo por ahora, aunque tengo otros callejeros que vienen de visita de vez en cuando, pero en esta ocasión no logré capturarlos a tiempo para llevarlos también a la jornada.

A ambos los llevé guardaditos en un par de bolsos. Son gatos adultos pero no demasiado grandes, así que cabían perfectamente en estos bolsos y al tener que llevarlos un poco lejos de casa, viajaron tranquilos conmigo en los bolsitos.

There I was, at the counter where they were attending to the pets. It was a large area, because it was necessary in case there were many pets to attend to, but for the few that arrived, there was no need for such a large place.

Ahí estaba yo, en el mesón en donde estaban atendiendo a las mascotas. Era un área amplia, porque era necesario en caso de que hubiesen muchas mascotas por atender, pero por las pocas que llegaron, no hubo necesidad de un lugar tan grande.

Believe it or not, my cats are too tame. They are that kind of cats that let themselves be petted by anyone or simply don't growl too much at people, they are not surly or wild. They are very spoiled and affectionate; even Tchalla, who is the least friendly, is always with you and if you take her in your arms, she will let herself be petted.

At the consultation they were both calm, although I took the necessary precautions so that they would not run away in case they were frightened by another pet, because yes, Tchalla is very nervous.

Aunque no lo crean, mis gatos son demasiado mansos. Son esa clase de gatos que se dejan acariciar por cualquiera o simplemente no gruñen demasiado a las personas, no son ariscos ni salvajes. Son muy consentidos y cariñosos; incluso Tchalla, que es la menos amistosa, siempre está contigo acompañándote y si la tomas en brazos, se dejará acariciar.

En la consulta los dos estuvieron tranquilos, aunque tuve las precauciones necesarias para que no se escaparan en caso de que se asustaran con alguna otra mascota, porque sí, Tchalla es muy nerviosa.

The most I dealt with at the consultation was that Tchalla's coat was falling out. The Doctor said it could be something in the skin and well she sent her medication, but she also said it could be stress.

In addition, both Bucky and Tchalla were injected with vitamins and dewormers. Something that should be done periodically with each of our pets.

Lo más que traté en la consulta fue que Tchalla se le estaba cayendo el pelaje. La Doctora dijo que podría ser algo en la piel y bien le mandó su medicamento, pero también dijo que podría ser estrés.

Además, tanto a Bucky como a Tchalla les inyectó vitaminas y desparasitantes. Algo que se debe hacer periódicamente con cada una de nuestras mascotas.

One thing that gave me a good laugh was that Bucky fell asleep while Tchalla was being cared for. I even lifted him up in the bag and sat him on my lap and the kitty fell asleep inside, completely relaxed with nothing disturbing his sleep.

Algo que me dio mucha risa fue que Bucky se quedó dormido mientras atendían a Tchalla. Incluso lo levanté en el bolso y lo senté en mi piernas y el gatito se quedó dormido dentro, completamente relajado sin que nada perturbada su sueño.

Finally we returned home and during the course of the day the kittens were calm, they did not suffer any adverse effect with any of the medications, on the contrary I see that they are eating more and they are a little more cheerful...

Finalmente volvimos a casa y el trascurso del día los gatitos estuvieron tranquilos, no sufrieron ningún efecto adverso con nada de los medicamentos, al contrario veo que están comiendo más y andan un poco más alegres...
