On my weekend trip to Merida with my friends, we had dinner at the Hotel Belensate. I noticed during our walk that the shops close very early, so at dinner time this was one of the few places open. I love this hotel, I am a big fan of its entrance and the beautiful yellow corner. I have stayed here before, but it is not the most economical option, and for this weekend we were looking for something more affordable. The hotel food is well-priced, although the service is a bit slow. I was feeling a bit under the weather and ordered a Caesar salad to eat something "light". My surprise was when a giant salad arrived that was delicious.
Something that happened to us in several places in the city was that the customer service was a bit rude. I don't like to generalize, but it happened to us many times for such a short weekend. While this did not ruin our walk, it did leave a bad taste in our mouths. I would like it if someone from Merida would read me and recommend places for my next trip to the city.

En el paseo de fin de semana que di con mis amigos por Mérida, cenamos en el Hotel Belensate. Algo que observé durante nuestro recorrido es que los locales cierran muy temprano, por lo que a la hora de la cena este era uno de los pocos lugares abiertos. Este hotel me encanta, soy demasiado fan de su entrada y la bella esquina de color amarillo. Me he hospedado aquí antes, pero no es la opción más económica, y para este fin de semana buscábamos algo más económico. La comida del hotel tiene un buen precio, aunque el servicio es un poco lento. Yo me sentía un poco mal y pedí una ensalada César para comer algo "ligero". Mi sorpresa fue cuando llegó una ensalada gigante que estaba deliciosa.
Algo que nos sucedió en varios lugares de la ciudad fue que la atención al cliente era un poco brusca. No me gusta generalizar, pero nos ocurrió muchas veces para ser un fin de semana tan corto. Si bien esto no arruinó nuestro paseo, sí nos dejó un mal sabor de boca. Me gustaria si me lee alguien de Mérida que me recomiende locales para mi proxima ida a la ciudad.
