Yesterday I shared some pics after a fresh snowfall. Today we see evidence of lots of activity. As far back as I can remember, I have always loved to walk in the woods looking and tracking for who or what shared my walking trails.
This pic is starting from the back corner of my neighbor's property. It is an active trail for deer.
It's 7:55AM and around the usual time after Krimmer has had breakfast. I get my breakfast after our walk. Man, she has me programmed to serve.
You can see the trail is already well beat down. Some deer scat.
More deer scat and Krimmer on the trail.
Just to the left is a trail going in the woods.
What a change from yesterday's photo.
...and we are on our way back.
Before we left for our walk I put out some donations for Diabetes Canada. It's an awesome program that I support. They may call every 2-4 months to see if they should send a truck by for pickup. We usually have a few bags and boxes of things to donate.
This pick is from our afternoon walk. We usually just go in the morning but with the weather changing so quickly I wanted to get a comparison with the morning walk. The temperature starting out in the morning was 0.0 degrees Celsius and no wind. In about 2 hours the temperature went up to 8.0 Celsius and quickly started to drop. Here it is 16:01 and the temperature is -8.00 Celsius, windy and cold. Can you see the moon is just about full?
More deer scat going to another backyard.
Yesterday I said this tree was a spruce but it is a balsam fir. What is often used for a Christmas Tree. Back in the day, in the 1950-65 timeline our family survived by selling trees on the side of the highway. We also snared rabbits. You do what you have to do to survive.
Hope you enjoyed our little journey.
#LUV and positive energy to all.
