Where are my mushrooms?

I’m not 💯 sure, but I think Consuela has abandoned us. Maybe it’s just the tiredness after my travels and the lack of sleep that I still have to catch up on. Maybe...

Or maybe we’re back to the usual ‘I don’t give a shit’ attitude. The attitude showing me that yet again I cared to much and yet again I came to the conclusion that humanity does not deserve caring.

We’re as rotten as the squash that I never harvested from my allotment the other season. Or eaten inside by worms like this mushroom.

Or maybe I just need a cigarette. A dirty smoke that can lower my frequency low enough to withstand living amongst this rotten humanity.

Maybe that’s why I love mushrooms so much. Pretty things like this poisonous Amanita. Pretty things that grew from the rotten matter. Yet so important in our ecosystem.

Because things rot and fungi are here to help the rotten things become something useful again. Something pretty that we can admire or something edible that we can eat. Like this cute little Bolete.

And another one which sure landed in my stomach some months ago.

Some might be just to look at or for other forest creatures to eat. But one thing is for sure - without fungi that break all the rotten matter, we would be living surrounded by shit.

Really, I don’t even know where all this bitter talk comes from. Or maybe I know, I just don’t wanna say things out laud. Cause wherever humanity shows up, shit follows. Just how things seem to work.

And sometimes things look pretty and big.

So we fall for it. We pick it up, happy to find something precious. We’re proud and amazed.

Only to find out that it’s just the outside that looked pretty and shiny ✨ Cause when we look inside… yes you guess it right. It’s either rotten or eaten by worms.

So next time we just admire from the outside. We don’t get involved, we don’t wanna look inside. Cause we already know what’s there. We learned. We become just slightly more bitter. Bitter enough to fit.

Even when we find precious things. Even when we can see it’s not rotten, not eaten. We leave it there, cause the bitter taste of others is still in out mouth.

Let me finish this little rant here. It could be because I’ve run out of pictures of mushrooms in this phone. I still have 100’s in my old phone, but the quality is not as good as in the new one. Here is a sample of the old ones.

I’m wondering… maybe that’s why my young colleague never watches the last episode of any series that he watched. He says it would make him feel depressed. Cause things will end and there is no more.

It doesn’t matter that there are plenty of other series to watch. He just doesn’t want any of them to end.

Later on we found out he has the same approach to life and relationships. Closure seems to be the hardest thing in his life.

Quite the opposite for me. When thing’s don’t work, I walk away. Sometimes maybe too early, other times maybe too late. Growth through constant change seems to be the theme of my life.

Speaking of closure… let me end this here, before I pass on my not so great mood to you, my reader. Tomorrow is another day, maybe more beautiful one.

Or maybe we’re all just tripping after eating some mushrooms?

Happy #FungiFriday everyone! Hope you managed to find some nice mushrooms for @EwkaW and posted them in Fungi Friday community. I’ll be reading all of them tomorrow morning. Today I slept most of the day 🙈

Until next time 💙

Wow, such a variety you found.
And indeed. Let’s admire from the outside, we know what’s inside 😉
Thanks for sharing these great captures with us.
Have an awesome evening 👋🏻😊

Hahaha tripping after eating them… who knows 🤣😂

Ehh, such gloomy mood today 🙈I probably slept too much!

Thank you and have a great one too 💙

Could well be, it can change moods…

You are welcome and have an awesome evening. 👋🏻😎

Plus full moon 🌕 approaching 😂😁💙

Aha… that’s explains a few things hehehe 🤭

It always affects me one way of another 🌚

Yep me too… 😎

If it wasn't for mushrooms all that dead organic matter would become future oil and coal :o)

True fact! Thanks for stopping by 💙
