I tried to grow orchids in semi hydroponics too and they didn't like it. I moved all back to bark or bark with sphagnum moss mix. Maybe this setup doesn't really work for it?
Hard to say if it’s the setup. I had Dens in bark and those died too, so I think it’s me more than the setup 😂
Most of my other orchids eventually got used to it and I quite like that unless they overgrown the pot I don’t have to worry about repotting due to decomposing media. Some even grow with no media at all, cause I’m so lazy that I never potted them up properly 😂
That said, the weather is finally improving, so I might do a few repotting jobs these coming weeks. 😁
