When Emotions Override Logic

I criticise the jedi not using the mind read thing to prove osha was innocent way earlier or on the poison dealer dude was he was an acompliace or sol not capturing mae despite having her outnumbered and being able to hold her in force stasis. The mind reading is incredibly invasive and not something that the jedi (especially someone idealistic and kind like Sol) is going to just use on anyone and everyone. And Sol was specifically trying to talk Mae down instead of using force to capture her, it's been made painfully clear in the show that this is one of Sol's major weaknesses, he feels guilt and is hesitant to use actual force.

Going "Yeah but it would have been smarter to do X" might be factually correct but it ignores the fact that these are all written as people, they aren't going to act like emotionless machines and always take the most optimised path.
And we have no reason to believe the jedi can lock the city down. We have seen Sol do it to Mae (Even if it was less effective than it might be vs non-force users) so I think ideology is a much greater influence. Sol simply isn't willing to cross certain lines, if Yord was a master and in charge of the mission I'm sure he would be reading minds to get straight to the truth because his character is a lot more direct than Sol.yord is literaly about to mindread the trade fed guy to get what he wants just before the trade fed chick reveals where the meknek is, also he could just ask to read her mind to prove her innocence. Also sol not only used the force to hold her in stasis but read her mind to try to find out who her master was only to find out not even she knew before she screamed at him to get out of her head. Seems pretty invasive to me. Also just because hes sympathetic to her doesnt mean he should just refuse to capture her. To use an example from the clone wars, anakin believed ahsoka was innocent but still wanted her to be captured to get to the bottom of this. Mae murdered 2 jedi, any master would have her captured, regardless of his feelings towards her, at most you can have him trying to get the jedi to sentence her lightly and leniently.

Also im a little tired of this whole oh you want the characters to be emotionless robots who follow pure logic. No i dont, i just dont want them to be stupid. (Ironically enough it would make more sense for jedi of all people to make more logical decisions compared to normal people, espically with sol preaching the whole let go of your painful past stuff to osha.
