Unconventional Gardening: Embracing Sustainable Practices

in Agricultural Mindset6 months ago

Hello everyone,
Welcome to my blog and to another article on my garden. For some time now I have been trying new innovative ways to plant some vegetables in my garden. While traditional methods often reign supreme, there's a growing movement towards unconventional practices that farmers who have little space for planting can incorporate into their farming.

Sand-Filled Bags: Seedbed method

This method was a good idea for me last year so I decided to continue with it this year, so I had to go to a building site to get these cement bags, fill them with sand that is mixed with animal waste. The idea of adding animal waste is to provide the soil with adequate nutrients which will help the plants to grow fast.

One of the reasons why you should practice the Seedbed method is when you don't have availability of farmland, instead of sitting down to complain, you can use bags to start your planting journey.

The way things are very expensive now, it is of a concern that everyone should be involved in the farming practice, you don't need to be a professional farmer or taking as an occupation but things like vegetables are little plants everyone should have in their garden, this simple practice can bring in a powerful solution to so many homes in team of reducing tje cost of food purchase. Aside from shopping in the market, shopping mall, having a garden of vegetables has a lot of benefits that are far beyond just making a delicious meal.
