it's full summer here so the harbor is buzzing with activity
the pride of the inner harbor is the canal with the traditional wooden boats, altogether over 70. most have made here in town by highly skilled craftsmen. the oldest is over 80 years old and the youngest only 2. iwill make a separate post featuring them.
they line both sides of the canal in the evening but during a day like today many if not most are out on the water
the outer harbor is where the coastal rescue boat is stationed
and where all the sailboats dock. there are marina facilities, restaurants and of course a couple of ice cream parlors
the fuel pumps are located on the rescue boat dock
the iconic footbridge separates the inner and outer harbor by connecting the east side to the town on the west.
the low sun peered from under the clouds bathing the masts and the island on the other side of the sound in warm golden light before setting around 10:30 PM
