one of the more subtle aspects of shadow hunting is noticing how sunlight changes, not just throughout the day but also place to place. i am used to the light conditions where we live both in norway and india and when traveling both ways i see the difference in the light and thus in the shadows. changes in the frequency. the angle, and the intensity of light result in a difference in the shadows created.
when traveling to different cultures the objects casting the shadows and the surfaces receiving them also change. i would never find these shadows near where we live. they are taken a while back from alicante on the mediterranean coast of spain. so one suggestion to shadow hunters when out traveling- in addition to photographing typical type shots, keep an eye out for shadows as well where ever you go
