I am working an extra day this week, so my workweek started yesterday instead of today! However, in my mind, it’s Thursday as it’s day 2. I have to keep reminding myself as then technically, it would seem tomorrow would be Friday. But, it isn’t! So it became even more apparent that I’m inside the twilight zone, as my first patient of the day called. There was no one on the other end but I’d seen the caller ID. When he arrived, I asked him if he’d called and said he had. I told him that there was no one on the line. He looked a bit confused. Then I started to inform him his insurance wasn’t going to cover today unless it was a medical condition as he’d used his benefits earlier elsewhere. He said he was confused as he’d just had an exam this year. I was kind of speechless at this point and told him I was really confused! What I really wanted to ask was then, why did you book this appointment? I kept silent. After a bit more discussion and also determining he didn’t need another pair of glasses, he went on his way. Very weird! 🤪
Fortunately, other than still feeling like it was Thursday, the day was fairly good! 😁
