Christmas Eve is one of the most magical nights of the year, a time to share with family, relive traditions and enjoy the little details that make this date so special. In my home, the preparation for this night begins weeks before, with a mixture of excitement, organization and, of course, a lot of love.
Decoration is key to create a warm and cozy atmosphere. At home, the Christmas tree takes center stage. I love to decorate it with warm lights, ornaments that we have collected over the years and some crafts made by the children.
In addition, you can't miss the scented candles with cinnamon and pine fragrances, which fill the home with a comforting aroma. On the dining table, I usually place a decorative centerpiece made with poinsettias, candles and small Christmas figures. All this contributes to create the magic that defines Christmas Eve.
Food is, without a doubt, one of the most anticipated aspects of Christmas Eve. In my family, we follow many traditional recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation. This year, the menu includes:
- Main dish: The traditional "Hallaca".
- Accompaniments: Chicken Salad and Ham Bread.
- Dessert: "Dulce de Lechoza".
Of course, you can not miss the traditional drinks such as Christmas punch with fresh fruit, a good wine to toast and of course my Rum.
Christmas Eve is not only about gifts or food; it is also an opportunity to reflect on how fortunate we are to have our loved ones close to us.
Preparing for Christmas Eve is much more than hosting a dinner; it's about creating memories that will remain in our hearts forever. Every detail counts, from the decorations to the smiles shared. I hope these ideas inspire you to make the most of this special date.
Merry Christmas Eve! 🎄✨
