So many Christains are finding in hard to stay consistent in their routine of reading their Bible and spending time with God.
The first thing you can do to overcome this is to figure out the source of your struggle because it might vary from person to person. are you in a busy season? Maybe it is the fact that you are reaching for something else other than your Bible in your downtime.
If it is the season that you are in, you need to give yourself some grace, because it's challenging to stick to any habit when life gives us different seasons and you are going to undulate then you are spending time with God ebb and flow throughout your Christain walk. There is no point in beating yourself up because you are not able to commit to it as much as you used to when you are.
Sometimes the answer is switching the way you spend time with God. For example, if I'm reading a devotional and I find myself not really picking it up, I lost interest.
Another this is accountability. I find that sometimes I just need to do a study with somebody else and grab a friend. You can choose a particular group of friends with thesame interest. And when you and your friends are doing this activities together, for example workout, then you should be going through a devotional plan together. You can also be part of a small group in your church where you people go through Bible study together.
Getting somebody to help you and to hold you accountable that you are doing the study with, maybe you do pivot in prism with a partner, that is going to help you stay on track.
Another thing to do is get back into Prayer closet. There is always something about an enclosed quiet space that just make you more attentive to God's presence. It may be your environment, or you just have to change to another. Find somewhere where that is calm for you to fellowship with God, a place where you can continue to go to, that is a sacred space for you.
All this can be summarized as:
What's is the source of your struggle
Pick one of the solutions suggested above to remedy it.
Hopefully this helps.
