Hello everyone
Glad to be here and be a part of this community and this is actually my first post here. The topic for this week is quite interesting and relatable, as a twin I have so much experience about this topic, I've grown up seeing myself sharing almost everything with my sister from clothes to the same hairstyle just to make us look the same. As we became friends I realized the meaning of that phrase. Charity begins at home.I have so much more meaning to me now than when I was much younger, that sharing with one another makes us bond better.
The Early Days
Growing up, my twin and I shared everything. My mom will intentionally dress us in identical outfits, and she will style our hair in the same way. We were inseparable, and our bond was unbreakable. As we entered our teenage years, we began to develop our own interests and personalities, because despite the fact that we are twins, we are different people and have different perspectives and likes but our habit of sharing remains strong.
One of the experience we had that made me realize that we can share things more than material things, last year I saw that my sister was struggling with her school project and I was done with mine so I had to step in an assist her,I knew I had more knowledge on the topic she was handling and with my help and hers we were able to finish the project. That moment marked a turning point for us. Aside from material things We began to share our time, skills, and talents with each other, and eventually, with those around us.
Extending Charity Beyond Our Home
As we grow older, our desire to share and give back to society keeps increasing daily. We started volunteering at local charities in my neighborhood, one of them is telling people about hive, helping those in need in my little way, and spreading love and kindness wherever I go. Our bond as twins has taught me the value of selflessness, and I am determined to make a positive impact on our community.
Conclusion
The phrase "charity begins at home" has taken on a new meaning for me as a person. It's no longer just about sharing material possessions with my twin like we used to do when I was younger, it's about sharing our hearts, our time, and our talents with those around us. As twins, I've learned that charity starts with the person next to you, and for me, that person is me and my twin.
Call to Action
As humans there is really nothing much important that sharing with one another
So, let us all embrace the spirit of charity, starting with the people closest to us. Let us share our love, our kindness, and our generosity with our family, friends, and community. Together, we can make a difference and create a ripple effect of goodness that spreads far and wide.
