I looked out of the window this morning to see sunshine and a bright sky with some cloud. One thing crossed my mind, this was a great chance to go for a ride!
So off I went to Tilgate Park. The temperature was fine at about 12°C. No wind, but broken sunshine, clearing as the day progressed. Pleasant conditions for mountain biking.
The park is on a smallish ridge and has some gradients that make for good riding. There are lots of tarmac surfaced paths but many more off the beaten track.
There are so many leaves on the ground now. Riding can be difficult in places where you can not see the tree roots. The front wheel can suddenly jump sideways giving you a fright!
A nice picnic area for warmer weather, next to the walled garden, a very popular place with a cafeteria.
Silt Lake with some ducks swimming in formation.
