In the silence of the night
You said goodbye
This hit so hard
My tears are heavy
Carrying my feelings
We talked about everything
Except what's on our minds
It's like the craziest place to be
You're my worst familiar stranger

You left with a part of me
And I'm still bleeding,
Believing in recovery
I wake up everyday,
wondering if you're ok
I know it's over
But my heart's a dreamer
You know all my secrets
And you're now a stranger

It's hard to move on
When we keep asking
What could have been
But...It's funny how we adjust
Like scary eyes in the dark night

Tears that fall from the clouds of uncertainty, a loneliness that surrounds the stranger and separates him, takes him far away, where caresses never reach.
