Splinterlands - Burn for Glint

Splinterlands is a trading card game on the Hive Blockchain. I have been playing this game for many years as it continues to add new dynamics to its ever popular selection of different game play

You can even own and work land if the matches are not your cup of tea so to speak.

Gwen's Glint Shop

Last week, In my post I shared most of the items you could purchase with your Glint (chests with cards both gold and regular foil, energy, merits etc) so i am not going to go into additional detail regarding what is there to purchase with Glint just so you know there are lots to things to purchase which will help you do better in the game if you have the glint to purchase it. So the more glint you have the better.

How To Get More Glint

Yes, most know how to earn Glint from playing and winning matches but there are other ways as well.

I own both Gold and Regular foils of the Lobb Lowland summoner. This is a Chaos Legion reward card which is no longer available and it is soulbound which means it cannot be sold or transfered unless it is unbound. Also, there is no way to play both foils in same matches.

Since they are both level 4, I really do not need the regular foil of these Chaos Legion cards. I discovered I can burn them for more Glint.

This will convert 4 cards into 4100 Glint.

This amount of glint provided enough that gives ne several options for purchases in Gwen’s Glint Shop. In reviewing my card collection, i do not have very many cards from the rebellion edition set.

I need to get more so i can have higher level cards to use. Burning cards that i have duplicates of or eould never use will provide more glint to get cards that I can actually use in matches.

Advancing Levels

I had mentioned there are several ways to accumulate cards and I had thought that it was a given that when you advance levels you would receive a new reward card.

However this time I was proved wrong. I received potions and merits when chests were opened. I am grateful to receive the potions and merits, don't get me wrong but would have loved to get a few cards.

Gladius Case
With the Merits I received, I was able to get two Gladius cases (packs). So this helps increase the number of cards I can us in my matches.

The first pack I opened had the normal 4 regular and 1 rare cards which is the default levels of cards that you receive in every pack. I already have a copy of these cards but like getting additional copies.

When I opened the second pack, I was very pleased as I received a Legendary card - Sola Ranjell. I just need one more copy to be able to combine for level 2.

If you have not started playing this exciting Play2Earn game, you should start. Here is my link to sign up:

The glint system helps a lot to support the game economy and the soulbond card too.
I love my cards so much that I never able to burn them. Holding Golid Foil is good choice to earn more glint per battle win but they are more costly when we want to upgrade them.
The legendary gladius card is awesome pull.

I have been thinking about burning card for glint since they put it place. This is the first time I am seriously considering it.
