To my everlasting friends in the HiveLearners community, my best regards!
An excellent approach today, where food and exercise seem to be a perfect combination for good or for bad. We just need to analyze what we do about each of them.
I think I have an answer!
Balanced diet
There is no doubt that a good diet is one that is "balanced". We call it that because we want to refer to balance, avoiding excesses and also absences. A little bit of everything seems to be the easiest way to follow to avoid complications.
Of course, there are professionals who can help us see where we are going wrong in our diet. Yes, some points are easy to notice, such as the issue of soft drinks and their sugars. Also meats with a lot of fat. Professionals in the area can really look at the details that we do not know and are not so obvious.
In general, we can guide ourselves to have a balanced diet by the colors of the food that is on our plates. I have been following this tip for a long time, and I believe it has good results. This means that we need to force a colorful diet. Think about a typical lunch here in Brazil:
- Rice (white), beans (black), grilled beef (red), lettuce (green), mashed potatoes (yellow).
It is a simple and very real combination in my region. See how the colors are very distinct! Now let's look at another example:
- Pasta with garlic and oil (yellow), mashed potatoes (yellow), farofa (yellow), egg (yellow)
We notice that there is an absolute predominance of yellowish tones, assuming that we will have an excess of some nutrients or other food items, to the detriment of others that our body will be lacking in order to stay in good health.
This was a simplification, but I believe I have explained my point.
Exercise
On the other hand, exercising regularly is something that requires motivation. This can be developed through persistence, as they say that when we repeat something for more than 21 days in a row, we create a habit (popular saying).
So if you don't practice any type of exercise, I invite you to force yourself to start and reevaluate your condition at the end of the month. If you still feel "forced" to do it, then it's not working for you and your motivation needs to be sought from other sources.
It's obvious that exercising is necessary for our health, both body and mind.

But obvious things need to be said and reinforced. So yes, I exercise. And out of necessity, too. For the body and the mind. I recommend that you find something to do, be it a walk or even a gym workout. You don't need to go to the gym to do weight training, you can do the basics and move your body and thus avoid many future headaches!
Conclusion
The best of both worlds is to be able to balance both things, maintaining a balanced diet along with exercising, but this is not always possible due to work reasons or lack of opportunity.
At my workplace I could easily go for a walk during my break, but when it comes to food I would not have healthy options. Sometimes we need to weigh the pros and cons and decide what we can do within our means!

Agora vamos a outro exemplo:
